The FSI Experience

The Frontiers of Science Institute was designed in 1959 to stimulate the interest of high school seniors in science. Now, in 2010, FSI focuses on enhancing scientific ambition and achievement of Colorado high school juniors and seniors. Students in the FSI program possess a strong interest in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and technology) areas. The program strives to balance rural and urban participation and gender equity as well as recruit from underrepresented groups.

The primary goal of the FSI program is to provide students with one-of-a-kind, enthralling experiences to stimulate their knowledge in STEM fields. Students build self-confidence and personal ability by initiate future academics and planning. At one point or another, Students will step outside of their comform zones and grasp the thought that someday they can fulfill important societal roles while pursuing their goals and passions.
